Review the eligible native plant list before purchasing plants and visit the program website for requirements and resources.
Annuals, cultivars/nativars, and seeds are not eligible.
Full receipts, including date of purchase and the total amount paid, are required for reimbursement.
Photos showing the practice installed on the property are required.
- Native plants and rain gardens are considered installed when they are in the ground, on the property.
- Rain Barrels are considered installed when they are connected to a downspout or other rainwater diversion device on the property.

Reimbursement Materials

To be fully reimbursed, upload a picture of the installed item along with a full copy of any associated receipts.
Applications are accepted for an individual practice or combination of practices. However, the total reimbursement is not to exceed $500 per site. Materials must be purchased after March 15, 2026. Reimbursement is subject to available funding. For inquiries please contact gardenrewards@neiwpcc.org.

Rain barrels must be a minimum size of 50 gallons; no more than four rain barrels can be reimbursed. Mosquito netting is required.

If you selected no, your rain garden does not meet program requirements. You may resubmit the application for native plants by deselecting rain garden and selecting native plants for reimbursement.

Reimbursement

Reimbursement Amount Requested(Required)

Rain Barrel: $125 maximum per rain barrel with a total maximum of $500. Rain Garden: maximum of $500 for mulch, gravel, soil amendments, and native plants. Native Plants: maximum of $500 for native plants listed on the eligible plant list. Seeds, cultivars/nativars and annuals are not eligible for reimbursement. The total maximum reimbursement is $500 per property for all three eligible practices.
