The next webinar in the National 303(d) Restoring Our Impaired Waters Webinar Series will provide training on the use of the Lake Loading Response Model (LLRM). The event is scheduled for April 16, 1-4 p.m. EST via Zoom.
The LLRM is an Excel-based model that uses environmental data to develop a water and nutrient loading budget for lakes/ponds and their tributaries (AECOM, 2009). Presenter Bob Hartzel will deliver a three-hour training, organized into the following major topics: (1) limnology concepts for modeling, (2) lake modeling concepts, (3) data analysis / model setup, and (4) Lake Loading Response Model (LLRM) and case study.
Hartzel leads the Ecological Services practice for Comprehensive Environmental Inc. and has a diverse background in leading water resources management, watershed assessment, environmental permitting, and ecological restoration projects. He is a Certified Lake Manager (CLM), a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), and professional wetland scientist.
