The annual Northeast Aquatic Biologists (NAB) Conference will take place in Bartlett, New Hampshire on February 5-7, 2025. The event provides a forum for sharing knowledge, collaboration, and networking among the aquatic and environmental biologist community in the Northeast.
The agenda includes sessions from more than 50 speakers surrounding topics such as the impact of climate change on streams, cyanobacteria and harmful algal blooms, eDNA, long-term and continuous monitoring, chloride pollution, and macroinvertebrate monitoring. This year, a pre-conference workshop is being offered to support implementation of Section 305(b) of the Clean Water Act. Led by Garrett Stillings with the U.S. EPA Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds, the workshop will cover the design, analysis and communication of aquatic resource monitoring using EPA tools, such as the survey design tool. The workshop requires advance registration and will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. on the first day of the conference.
Registration is open through January 4, and provides access to the interactive poster session showcasing innovative research, exhibitor hall, banquet, and social events. NAB is open to all registrants, and attendees include participants from state, federal, tribal, and municipal governments; the private sector; academia; and watershed organizations from New England and New York.
The conference website hosts event updates and additional information, including a preliminary agenda and lodging details.
The event is coordinated by NEIWPCC in partnership with our member states and the U.S. EPA.
