The Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP), in coordination with NEIWPCC, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP), seeking an external reviewer to inspect the clean water accounting methods used by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The reviewer will examine and compare methods used by both organizations to calculate the reduction of pollutants including phosphorous into the Basin. The outputs of this project will include suggestions to improve accounting efforts within each state and ensure methods are consistent across the region.
One contract will be awarded for up to $100,000 to assist in this project. Applicants must submit their proposal online no later than 12 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2023. The successful applicant will be notified in October 2023. This grant is supported by funds awarded to NEIWPCC on behalf of LCBP by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
