Call For Abstracts

The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is now accepting abstract submissions for the 26th National Tanks Conference & Exposition. The conference will be held September 11-13, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. Please use this form to submit an abstract to be considered for a conference presentation, pre-conference workshop, or poster. You may also suggest a topic or presenter. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 9, 2018.

Please note that it is NEIWPCC’s policy that all participants and speakers are responsible for their own conference registration fee and other expenses related to the meeting. NEIWPCC offers reduced rates for speakers, and travel support may be available for eligible State and Tribal employees.

  • Basic Information


    Please submit your contact information below, whether submitting your own abstract or recommending a topic or presenter. Include all requested information to ensure your submission receives full consideration. Asterisks (*) indicate mandatory input fields.

  • The conference will include three presentation formats. Pre-conference workshops will take place the afternoon of Monday, September 10, 2018. Conference presentations will occur during conference sessions on September 11-13, 2018. Posters will be on display throughout the conference, and times will be set aside for poster presenters to discuss their work with attendees. Abstracts can be submitted for a single format (e.g. poster only) or multiple formats (e.g. conference presentation and poster). Please select multiple formats if you are willing to present a pre-conference workshop or poster as an alternative if not chosen for a conference presentation. Otherwise, please select a single format.

  • Please indicate the keyword(s) that most closely relate to your abstract. If you do not see a related topic listed below, use the “Other” category to enter your topic. Please limit to a maximum of 4 topics.

  • Please indicate the target audience that is most appropriate for your presentation. Also indicate the appropriate level of experience of your target audience. Please limit experience level of target audience to a maximum of 2 selections.

  • 2 selections maximum.

  • Discuss the subject(s) you will cover and your method of engaging the audience (e.g. roundtable discussion, Q&A with roving microphone, classroom-style presentation, etc.). Also include your preferred presentation format (conference presentation, pre-conference workshop, or poster). If you do not have a formal abstract to submit, please use this space to describe your idea.
    Please note: Submit for your individual presentation rather than for multiple presentations from multiple speakers. NEIWPCC and the conference planning team will work to group similar abstracts into conference sessions. However, if you strongly insist on submitting an idea for an entire conference session with multiple speakers and topics, please describe below (3000 character limit, about 500 words):
