How can small water systems cost-effectively provide safe drinking water without introducing harmful disinfection byproducts?

On September 10, NEIWPCC hosted an online talk Souheil Benzerrouk and Hichem Hadjeres of Canopus Water Technologies, a New Hampshire-based developer and manufacturer of nonchemical water disinfection products.

They provided an overview of UV technologies and presented the results of their recent study on using UV-LED for the management of bacteria and disinfection byproducts.

Benzerrouk is the founder of Canopus Water Technologies. He has 20 years of experience in product and technology development and 18 pending or issued patents. Hadjeres is a sales and business application engineer with the company. His recently completed graduate work focused on the efficacy of LED and xenon based UV-C systems for water treatment.
