(for Rigid, Semi-rigid, Flexible and Hybrid Pipelines)
AUTOMATIC MECHANICAL LINE LEAK DETECTOR
Certification |
Leak rate of 3.0 gph with PD = 100% and PFA = 0%. |
Leak Threshold |
3.0 gph at 10 psi equivalent.
A pipeline system should not be declared tight if the test result indicates a loss that equals or exceeds this threshold.
|
Applicability |
For BFX1V: Gasoline/ethanol blends up through E85.
For BFX1DV: Biodiesel up through B100. |
Specification |
System tests pressurized pipelines.
Tests are conducted at 8-16 psi. |

Maximum of 425.84 gallons for rigid pipelines.
Maximum of 643 gallons for semi-rigid pipelines.
Maximum of 109.84 gallons for flexible pipelines.
Maximum of 1178.68 gallons for a combined rigid, semi-rigid, flexible hybrid pipeline with a minimum Bulk Modulus of 17,052 psi. |
Waiting Time |
None between delivery and testing.
None between dispensing and testing.
Stabilization time up to 45 minutes may be required after dispensing when temperature extremes are present. |
Test Period |
Test Period Response time is typically less than 2-3 seconds in a line with no leak.
|
