DESCRIPTION:The next webinar in the National 303(d) Restoring Our Impaired Waters Webinar Series will discuss Colorado’s watershed rapid assessment program. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment partnered with Colorado State University to develop a watershed analysis tool to streamline the process of gathering\, organizing\, and analyzing data. The tool is capable of quickly generating tables\, maps\, and graphs on a variety of watershed characteristics\, and ultimately produces an EPA approved nine element watershed based plan template. The presenters will display this tool and share insights into the development process and the challenges faced along the way.
