NEIWPCC recently rewarded employee Katie DeGoosh-DiMarzio with our Annual Achievement Award, for her excellent work protecting water quality in Rhode Island.

Each year, NEIWPCC acknowledges one staff member who has gone above and beyond by rewarding them with our Annual Achievement Award.

The award recipient would have been recognized at this year’s All Staff Meeting, which was canceled due to COVID-19. Instead, NEIWPCC announced the winner in a short video.

Environmental Analyst Katie DeGoosh-DiMarzio received the award for organizing volunteers in the summer of 2019 to remove sacred lotus, an aquatic invasive plant, from Meshanticut Pond in Rhode Island.
