More than 600 state and tribal underground storage tank (UST) inspectors and other compliance staff attended NEIWPCC’s training webinar held on April 30.
The training focused on UST sumps and spill buckets and covered policy background, equipment testing updates, state licensing requirements for testers, as well as standards and compatibility issues associated with equipment repairs.
USTs are commonly used for storing fuel at gas stations, marinas, and other fueling facilities. Spill buckets and sumps are essential aspects of the UST system that help prevent releases of product into the environment.
NEIWPCC has been supporting UST compliance and education for more than 35 years. An additional UST training and two Leaking Underground Storage Tank-related webinar trainings are being planned for later this summer.
