A new, unified, wastewater training school in Maine will be offered again next January.

The training school’s first graduating class poses with an instructor and the JETCC program staff in Portland on June 15.

Maine’s wastewater training program has long offered courses for operators at all levels. This year NEIWPCC’s Joint Environmental Training Coordinating Committee (JETCC) tried something new.

The program organized classes into a 6-month, 12-session program designed for novice to intermediate operators.

The pilot program ran from January to June. Most classes were held at the Portland Water District facilities.

The JETCC staff is fine-tuning the program for the 2018 Wastewater Operator School scheduled to start in mid-January.
